The Loire invites visitors to enjoy an immersive experience at the heart of the Saumur region’s rich river heritage.

Traditional boats will take centre stage. Including the chaland (/ʃəˈlɑːn/), gabare (/ɡæˈbɑːr/), toue (/tuː/), and fûtreau (/fyːˈtroʊ/). Authentic vessels that bear witness to the history of the Loire. Visitors will have the rare opportunity to sail on the Loire aboard these historic boats.
